Little Friends, 1998
Another cat - but this time with a cuddly companion.

Material: 26 count white linen (my favorite!!); DMC cotton floss
Method: Over two threads
Status: Currently hanging in my office at work
Extra note: I absolutely love working with the finer linens and very detailed, intricate needle work.

Extra note: Black is extremely difficult to work with. You really need an excellent light source. The dark cloth slowed down this project immensely.

This was one of the first counted cross-stitch projects I ever stitched and I immediately fell in love with the craft.

Extra note: This project was actually from a series of two projects. There was a companion project of a little boy with a toy airplane, "Little Aviator," which was published in the Jan/Feb 1988 issue of Cross-Stitch and Country Crafts. I had planned to stitch that one as well, but never got around to it. (Below is a picture of the "Little Aviator" from the magazine).
